The extraordinary terroir of Poggio al Rigoloccio provides ideal conditions for wines with character, structure, and origin. From this conviction arose the vision to develop the estate with clarity and passion — driven by true dedication to wine and viticulture. Bruno Moser and Gerhard Sanin took over the estate to realize this vision. Sanin is an experienced winemaker with decades of work at renowned wineries in South Tyrol and Tuscany. His fine sense for precision, origin, and balance lends the wines elegance, mineral tension, and depth. His signature now defines the style of Poggio al Rigoloccio.
The vineyards are situated at 40 – 100 meters above sea level, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. The proximity to the historic pyrite mine of Gavorrano – once one of Europe’s most important deposits – deeply influences the soil, as does the climate: warm days, cool nights, and constant sea breezes.
Currently, three distinctive wines are produced:

- Rigomar – a structured red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Merlot
