Beautiful stands of alder trees line the moor waters of the lakes. On the open slopes, the fresh colors of liverleaf flowers contrast vividly with the dry chestnut leaves on the ground, accompanied by thousands of primroses. In the hedgerows, violets and the violet-to-red blossoms of lungwort emerge. In the area of the forestry garden, lucky visitors may spot the emerald lizard already in March on sunny days. A valley that truly lives up to its name.
The hike through Spring Valley is very easy and suitable for families with children. It is highly recommended in March and the spring months, as the valley, thanks to its mild climate, is already in full bloom early on. Especially the white spring snowflakes, also called "large snowdrops" in South Tyrol, are abundant. Enjoy the beauty of nature, and please note: picking the flowers is not allowed!
Location:
Spring Valley, with its carpets of flowers, lies in a basin between the Montiggler Lake and Lake Caldaro. The Angelbach flows through it over stones and roots. The starting point is the Montiggler Lake parking lot.
